The Russian Federation has completed the self-funded project “Survey for Review of Chemical Management Regulatory Systems Worldwide” (here and after “Survey”) (CD 02 2017S), which had been endorsed at APEC Seniors official meeting in 2017. The aim of the Survey is to provide information about chemical regulatory systems in place in different economies to all interested stakeholders.
The Survey includes brief chemical legislation overview of 17 economies, information on chemicals data bases, CBI protection rules and laboratory infrastructure, etc. Full text of the Survey is available here.
In order to facilitate the Survey text perception additionally there was developed the Executive Summary. Executive Summary is the concise document, that provides brief information on some major chemical management system blocks. This document was approved by the Chemical Dialogue members and soon will be available on the Chemical Dialogue website as an official APEC document.
The Survey contributes to lining-up trade relations between economies, facilitates the identification of the possible non-tariff barriers and sharing good regulatory practices. It corresponds to the APEC priority area Strengthening Regional Economic Integration and Quality Growth and supports a goal «to facilitate trade by expanding and supporting regulatory cooperation and mutual recognition in the Region».
